Pasco Extension Quality Beef Cattle Production Series starts March 20

The UF/IFAS Pasco County Cooperative Extension Service Livestock Program is offering a free Quality Beef Cattle Seminar Series to help cattle ranchers understand and apply Best Management Practices to ensure the highest quality beef and the highest quality pastures.

The seminar series will be held over three evenings on March 20, April 11, and May 17, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Pasco County Extension Office, located at 36702 SR 52 in Dade City.

The seminar series is designed for ranchers with operations of all sizes, including those who are new to the industry.  The series will cover the following topics:

  • Nutrition, Body Condition and Pasture Management
  • Genetics, Body Condition Scoring, Culling and Proper Handling
  • Vaccinations and Parasite Control
