Pasco Hernando SCORE Receives the 2017 Platinum Chapter Award

Pasco Hernando SCORE received the Platinum Chapter Award during the National Leadership Conference in Baltimore Maryland this past August.

This is the third consecutive year that Pasco Hernando SCORE has received the Platinum Chapter Award for exceeding the goals set by SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) National.

Pasco Hernando SCORE offers free and confidential business mentoring, workshops and seminars throughout the year at local libraries.   Seminars focus on critical issues from planning and funding to marketing and much more.

During 2017, Pasco Hernando SCORE held 80 free small business seminars, conducted 375 new client sessions, 40 new online sessions, and 975 follow-ups sessions with clients. Pasco Hernando SCORE recently opened an additional office in the SMARTstart West Pasco Entrepreneur Center on US 19 in New Port Richey.

SCORE is a uniquely American organization that synthesizes two historic national ideals; entrepreneurial spirit and volunteerism. Since 1964, SCORE has provided expert  volunteer mentoring to more than 11 million entrepreneurs and small business owners. As the nation’s largest network of volunteer business mentors, SCORE is committed to helping any person succeed in their small business endeavor.

In 2016 SCORE nationally helped start 54,072 new businesses and create 78,691  non-owner jobs. 64% of in-business clients increased their revenue in 2016. SCORE has over 10,000 volunteers in 300+ chapters, serving over 1,000 communities in the United States.
