Pasco MPO Seeks Public Comment on Transportation Planning

What are your thoughts on transportation planning in the Tampa Bay area?  That’s what the Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) would like to know as part of MPO’s certification for its transportation planning process.  Your feedback plays a vital role in the certification review process – giving you direct input on the transportation planning process for our area.

The public comment period begins January 26, 2021, and runs through February 26, 2021, and we’re making it easy for you to weigh in!

Submit your comments on Pasco County MPO’s work in any of the following ways:

Every four years the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) conduct a review of the Pasco Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) transportation planning process, as required by law.  The primary purpose of the certification review is to evaluate the MPO’s compliance as part of the Tampa Bay Transportation Management Area (TMA).  The Tampa Bay Transportation Management Area consists of the Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough Metropolitan Planning Organizations.  To learn more about this process, and to see the 2017 Certification Report, please visit: bit.ly/MPO-review.

Mac Davis says

Ridge Road extension will not aid evacuation nearly as much as advocated and will be a major disruption to wildlife corridor. Drop that project. Put all dollars into widening SR52 to 6 lanes as far as US 41. Use remaining money earmarked for RRX to build new shelters.
