Following a comprehensive, nationwide search, Pasco County has chosen a dedicated public servant with more than 25 years of local government experience throughout Florida to lead its Development Services Branch as Assistant County Administrator.  Sally Sherman will join the Development Services team during a time of unprecedented growth for Pasco County.

Sherman begins her new role with Pasco County Monday, July 27.

“I’m excited to join a talented team that is working to position Pasco County for a bright future of growth and opportunity,” said Sherman.  “What I do is not a job, but a lifestyle of service, and I look forward to getting to know the customers and communities who count on us.”

Prior to joining Paso County, Sherman served as Deputy County Administrator for Flagler County, Assistant City Manager for the City of Deltona, Deputy County Manager for Seminole County, and Assistant City Manager for the City of Leesburg.  She holds a Dual Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Management from Webster University, a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Troy State University and a Bachelor of Business from Barry University. Sherman is an International Credentialed City/County Manager (ICMA) and is certified in project management as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Some of Sherman’s notable accomplishments include being the recipient of the Florida City & County Management Association Assistant in Leadership for the state of Florida; the LeRoy Collins Distinguished Alumni for Florida Association of Community Colleges; the Leadership Seminole Legends Recipient–presented by Florida’s Lieutenant Governor; and recognized by having a county program and facility named in her honor “Sally’s Safe Haven.”
