Pasco County Pet of the Week

By Meaghan Goepferich Posted on January 27, 2022

Phoebe (ID: 47886497) is a true joy to be around! She is outgoing, affectionate and loves to be with her people. She can be a little rough and tumble at times — she’s just so eager to make friends! However, she is attentive and sits and shakes on command. This smart girl could probably learn several new commands. Phoebe has been around children, but would do best as an only dog. She loves to chase after a toy and then lie in the grass chewing on it. This 5-year-old is the perfect medium size, weighing in at about 50 pounds with a short stature. She’s too cute! Phoebe does have a few treatable health concerns that PCAS staff would be happy to discuss with you. Want to meet her? Make an appointment with Pasco County Animal Services today!

Tippey (ID: 48856275) is a puppy at heart! He’s about 4 years old and 60 pounds. This goofy, happy-go-lucky guy loves playing with his toys, running around the yard with his person, and rolling in the grass. He knows the sit, down and “pray” commands and has even been practicing agility. He’ll do anything for a treat — they’re his favorite! His second favorite thing is being petted and getting belly rubs and butt scratches. Although he loves people, he may do best in a home without small children, as his enthusiasm could be overwhelming. Tippey could use some work on calmly asking for pets or treats, and he sometimes jumps on people for affection. However, he’s a quick learner and will listen when told no. He walks well on a leash and may be easily house-trained, as he potties as soon as he goes outside. He has previously lived in a home, where he was reported to be uncertain with strangers. However, once he gets to know you, he’ll be a friend for life. Tippey does have a skin condition that will require further treatment, and Pasco County Animal Services staff would be glad to discuss this with you. Make an appointment to meet him today, and you may just fall in love!
