Pet shelter at Parrott Middle School has reached Capacity

Pet sheltering at Parrott Middle School, located at 19220 Youth Dr. in Brooksville, is at capacity.

To accommodate the demand, Nature Coast Technical High School, located at 4057 California St. in Spring Hill, will open a section of the school away from other evacuees for pet sheltering. You must bring your own portable carrier or kennel.

Recommended disaster supply kit for pets

  • Proper identification
  • Immunization records
  • County license rabies tag
  • Food and water
  • A carrier or portable kennel
  • Medications
  • Muzzle, collar, and leash
  • Manual can opener
  • Current photo of pet
  • Feeding and water bowls
  • Favorite toys and blanket
  • Cat litter/pan and scoop
  • Grooming items
  • Plastic bags to handle waste
