Pine Island Beach swimming advisory in effect

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on July 19, 2018

The Florida Department of Health in Hernando County announces that Pine Island Beach, located at 10840 Pine Island Drive in Spring Hill, is currently under a swimming advisory due to high bacterial levels, as of July 18, 2018. This is a common occurrence in many areas of Florida after a heavy rain.

The water will be re-tested next week and an announcement will be made when the advisory is lifted. The beach and park areas remain open to the public.
