The Alfred McKethan/Pine Island Park observation deck, destroyed by Hurricane Hermine in 2016, has been restored and is now open to the public. Located at 10840 Pine Island Drive just west of Weeki Wachee on the Gulf of Mexico, this observation deck is a popular spot for holding weddings and watching sunsets. The total project cost was approximately $27,000.
