Partnership will showcase local talent internationally

Two prominent soccer clubs are joining forces to create new opportunities for young players and to potentially boost Pasco’s economy with new events and tournaments.

Florida Premier Football Club and Chargers Soccer Club are two of the longest-serving youth soccer clubs in the state of Florida, committed to inspiring, developing and leading young men and women to excel on and off the field.

“This is a great opportunity to showcase local talent and to bring in regional, national and international soccer events requiring local support from established, solid soccer clubs,” said Pasco County Tourism Program Manager Consuelo Sanchez.  “The timing of the clubs’ partnership is perfect, as Pasco County is working on several soccer event proposals that will bring new revenue to Pasco.”

The clubs are also partnering with the U.S. Soccer Development Academy and AS Roma of Italy to help players develop individually and collectively for elite, competitive and recreational competition.  The partnerships will also mean scouting exposure through AS Roma with the potential to create international awareness of Pasco’s soccer clubs.

“Pasco County is excited to celebrate this new partnership and appreciates Florida Premier FC’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life for our youth by increasing exposure and raising the competitive bar,” said Sanchez.
