A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Monday, May 15, 2017, at 10 a.m. for the recently completed Quality Drive sidewalk project. The event will take place at the Vista Grand Retirement Community located at 10380 Quality Dr. in Spring Hill. A short reception will follow. Please enter from the Medical Blvd. entrance on the east side of the building.
This long-awaited sidewalk project was completed ahead of schedule thanks to Arlene Sollis, Vista Grand resident. Her actions led to a community effort among Hernando County, Cemex, and our local, state and federal elected officials to expedite the project and improve the quality of life for these residents.
The project consisted of the construction of a five-foot-wide ADA compliant sidewalk from the intersection of Mariner Blvd. to the existing sidewalk at the west side of the Vista Grand Retirement community.
Project length – 1,100 linear feet
Cost – $56,909
Donations – Cemex donated 127.5 cubic yards of concrete
