The BBC is located on the 2 nd floor of City Hall, suite XXX at 201 Howell Ave, Brooksville. The office will be opened daily, during regular City business hours.

The City’s Business Center is part of City Manager, Mark Kutney’s, Economic
Development Strategic Plan for the City of Brooksville that was presented to the City Council on July 28, 2020.

As part of his plan, the first goal is to build and strengthen current business and commerce existing with the city with the objective of providing support and assistance to local commerce through a variety of measures. These measures include assisting business and individuals in permitting, code enforcement, information dissemination, and other matters that
may arise relative to commerce.

“Existing vacant office space is being utilized to provide the services and a team of staff with different areas of expertise will be on hand to advise and/or facilitate new or existing businesses so there is no additional cost for this new office.”, stated Mr. Kutney. “We are excited to embark on this endeavor in hope of bringing new businesses to the City or expanding the
current businesses within our community.”
The Economic Development Strategic Plan includes four goals, twelve objectives, and forty-six strategies. Upon conclusion and approval of the Economic Development Strategic Plan last July, the City Council recommend and provided for an additional full-time position to assist the City Manager in this enthusiastic plan.

Upon development of the Economic Development Specialist position and identifying the ideal candidate, this position will staff the BBC on a full-time basis.
