Second pass of Hernando County debris collection nearing completion
The second pass of Hurricane Irma storm debris pickup in Hernando County is nearly completed on all county-maintained and approved private roads. Debris collection began September 18.
Two haulers, Grubbs Emergency Services and Tag Grinding, worked 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week with a combined total of 31 trucks. Haulers have collected nearly 120,000 cubic yards of debris.
Residents may still report missed debris by calling the Hernando County Solid Waste and Recycling Department at (352) 754-4112.
