See the Wildlife Park Residents enjoying their Halloween Treats

By Susan Strawbridge Posted on November 6, 2017

Enjoy the photos of the park animals receiving their Halloween treats as part of the park’s animal enrichment program. These photos were taken by Susan Strawbridge, Park Specialist.

The volunteers do a great job preparing the treats, and the animals (as you can see) really enjoy them.

Biddy the Florida Black Bear

Swiper the Red fox

Glory the Grey fox

“Hmmm, what have we here?”

“I will make you mine.”

Valentine the Otter

… and Lu the Hippo

The Halloween treats are part of the Park’s animal enrichment program and the preparation and distribution is handled by the Park’s volunteer organization, the Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park.

You can join the Friends organization for only $60/year and you receive a number of admissions to the park in a punch card. It is a great value and helps fund a lot of the Park’s activities and improvements.
