Seeking applications for member positions on the Code Review & Appeals Board (CRAB)

The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applications for the Code Review and Appeals Board. Code Review and Appeals Board is seeking three qualified regular members to complete four-year terms that will expire on January 31, 2024.

Eligible applicants must reside full time and own property within Citrus County.

The Code Review & Appeals Board is required to meet at a minimum once per year and may meet on an as-needed basis at the Lecanto Government Building, located at 3600 W. Sovereign Path in Lecanto. The Code Review and Appeals Board reviews any locally proposed technical amendments to building standards or regulations and makes recommendations to the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners.  It also hears appeals of code interpretations and makes decisions on variations and modifications concerning technical codes and standards.  It makes recommendations to the BOCC on changes to Article II, Chapter 18 of the Citrus County Code of Ordinances.
