Star Wars Reads Day at Beverly Hills Library October 20

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on October 11, 2018

Star Wars, a popular sci-fi movie franchise began in the 70’s, and still captured the imaginations of young and old after nearly 40 years. Saturday, October 20th is Star Wars Reads Day; there will be a celebration held at the Central Ridge branch in Beverly Hills from 10am-11:30am. Star Wars Reads Day encourages readers to travel to new worlds through reading books, and to create a fun environment for fans to express their interest in the franchise.

This year, participants can create a special assortment of crafts and props to get into the spirt. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite Star Wars characters for a costume contest. Members of the 501st Legion, a group dedicated to creating realistic Star Wars costumes, will be present to add to the atmosphere and pose for photos.

The event is open to participants of all ages and is free to attend. Star Wars themed refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.
