Summer to Autumn Exhibit now at Brooksville’s Uptown Art Gallery
The Uptown Art Gallery was established in 1998 in cooperation with the Hernando Fine Arts Council and the City of Brooksville. City Hall provides an ideal location for local and regional artist to display their work and the Gallery hosts several new exhibits throughout the year.
The Uptown Art Gallery is the permanent home of the Hernando Heritage Quilt. The quilt is made up of 22 blocks, with each block portraying a part of the county’s history. A catalog of the works by artist Mary A. Coogler (1879-1957) is archived at the Gallery and the Gallery also has an extensive private collection of donated works that include the Lewis Watkins’ Historical Prints.
