Sunrise Rotary adds New Members

Back in February & March 2020 before COVID-19 shook our world, two new members were inducted into the Rotary Club of Dade City Sunrise!

Jordon Frier was pinned by his sponsor Randy Bush and DGE Jeanie Germain during the regular Thursday 7:00 am meeting at the Hampton Inn in Dade City. Jordon is the Family Pastor at the Dade City Church of God and the Lighthouse Christian Academy. He is married to Kimberly and they have 2 children and 1 on the way!

As a new member, it’s customary to be invited to be the Guest Speaker so the club members can get to know you and your business.

Since Sunrise Rotary transitioned to “ZOOM” meetings, Jordon put together a slide presentation virtually that was “his story.”

Another tradition of the Sunrise Rotary is that you get “mugged” with a custom Rotary blue coffee mug as a thank-you gift for being the featured guest speaker. Jordan received his “mugging” in the sanctuary of The Church of God on 21st street in Dade City August 11.

Jennifer Merchant, sponsored by Jean Nathe, became a member on March 12 during the weekly meeting of Sunrise Rotary and presented to the Club as a guest speaker on May 14.

Jennifer is a realtor with People’s Choice Realty Services, and she is also the Chapter Leader of Power Gals of Dade City, a women’s networking group. She is married to Kevin and they have 2 daughters, Melody and Kenzie.

Recently Jennifer took over the membership chair position for Sunrise Rotary which started the new year on July 1, 2020. Her “mugging” was COVID Style with masks and all at a recent lunch!
