Sunrise Rotary Club Community News

Superintendent Kurt Browning gave the Sunrise Rotary Club an update September 26 at their morning meeting about the Pasco County School District. Superintendent Brown reported that after the school year started for 2019-2020, the student count was 1,300 more than the 2018-2019 school year.

Pasco County School District is the largest employer in Pasco County with 5,500 teachers and 90 Schools. Slated for 2022 is the Kirkland Ranch Tech High School on Curley Road. Superintendent Browning explained that a rezoning process will determine boundaries for the new High Schools and Middle Schools on the east side to elevate crowding at the recent Rotary meeting.
