Snow explains, “For nearly a year now, the world has been living in a state of emergency. One of the most negatively affected groups has been those living with dementia and all involved in their care, who have been strongly impacted by the demands for social distancing, social isolation, and disengagement from life as it was known.”

Snow will present practical ways to begin the recovery process for all involved, including methods of addressing the emotional trauma and supportive strategies for regaining skill and restarting routines for person-centered compassionate care.

Coping with Dementia President Debbie Selsavage, the organizer of the conference, states, “We cannot think of a better way of opening this event than to have Teepa Snow’s assessment of our difficult situation, and her message of hope for the future.”

The four-day virtual event will feature presentations by more than two-dozen experts through 16 one-hour sessions from February 9th through 12th. Snow’s keynote address will begin at 10 a.m. EST on Tuesday, February 9th

With funding from Dementia Education Inc. and other sponsors, the Coping with Dementia Conference is free and open to the public.  To register or for more information, interested parties should go to https://conference.coping.today or call 352-422-3663.
