Temporary reduction in service hours for Transit Services (TheBus)

Hernando County Transit Services (TheBus) will temporarily reduce service hours on all fixed routes and demand response service beginning April 6, 2020, until further notice.

The new operating hours will be from approximately 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Saturday service has been temporarily suspended until further notice. Visit to view the new temporary route schedules beginning April 6, 2020.

Fare collection continues to be suspended on all fixed routes and demand response service for 30 days beginning March 23, 2020. Residents are encouraged to continue to maintain adequate social distancing from other passengers as well as bus drivers and only use public transportation to access essential services or employment as needed.
