New Pop-Up Event Brightens the City-Scape with Live Art and Light

The Central Presents Chasglo 2020

The Central on Orange Lake and Crumbled Design present the first annual ChasGlo taking place on Saturday, March 7, from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm. ChasGlo is a magical light, art & music experience featuring local artists, performers, and live music in downtown New Port Richey. This event is a benefit for the Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco, donations will be accepted at their booth.

The pop-up art event will occupy three different spaces along Main Street and the backyard facing Nebraska Avenue. The main entrance will be located in a vacant storefront on Main Street (5740 Main Street) which will house the Moon Gate art installation created by CrumbledDesign, live glow in the dark body painting, paint yourself glow station, and a photo booth area for guests to capture the moment.

The Moon Gates extend out into the backyard lounge where Ultra Violet Fever will be performing along with a liquid light projectionist, aerialists, flow artists, food and market vendors. Live painting and market vendors will also be found inside Ordinance One (5738 Main) and The Central Leasing Office (5742 Main).

CrumbledDesign wanted to create a world that feels magical all the time – a space that makes guests feel like they are exactly where they need to be. A place that inspires deeper self-exploration in a safe environment. Explorers are encouraged to touch, feel and be part of the environment.

Guests will find moon gates covered in nature, fabric and over 5,000 solar-powered lights at Chasglo 2020. These pieces were meant to add magic to a backyard, wedding, and other outdoor experiences. Guests can inquire at the “Take Home a Piece of the Sky” booth at the event for more details on how they may acquire a piece for their own home.

This event is free to attend thanks to presenting sponsor The Central on Orange Lake as well as Afrodite’s Closet, Tru-Line Electric, Bay Stage Live, Tampa Bay Times, and eCarve LLC.

About The Central on Orange Lake

Nestled next to Orange Lake and only two blocks North of Main Street in the historic downtown district of New Port Richey, this series of apartments will provide over 80 residences for those seeking a more urban lifestyle.

People Places is crafting a series of small, finely detailed apartment buildings with views of Orange Lake and Central Avenue. Each building will contain 6 individual apartments accessed by a gated entry and stair hall. Virtually every apartment has windows on three sides, capturing views, light, and breezes. Central Avenue, which bisects the site, is being updated with wider sidewalks, street trees, and a tree-lined median, all framed by the stately new buildings.

Architect Eric Brown designed the buildings with a nod to classic Southern architecture, with spacious floor plans, high ceilings, and quality finishing touches. The project is being built in two phases: Phase one includes seven buildings and features a beautiful Live Oak-canopied courtyard overlooking Orange Lake.

The location is a short walk from downtown nightlife, restaurants, and shopping. Leisure activities and events at Sims Park, kayaking and boating, an award-winning public library and a $14 million recreation and aquatic center are also within walking distance.

The Central’s leasing office is located at 5742 Main Street in downtown New Port Richey. For more information on construction updates or leasing information, please call (727) 478-0770 or visit TheCentralOnOrangeLake.com or https://www.facebook.com/TheCentralonOrangeLake.
