By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on January 6, 2019

The Hernando County Utilities Department (HCUD) Water Awareness Series offers free monthly classes to educate participants on how to protect Florida’s water resources. Residents are invited to attend “The Top Ten Things Newcomers Need to Know About Their Florida Yard” on January 11, 2018 from 10 a.m. to noon at the HCUD Building located at 15365 Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville. Spoiler alert! Number one is: Forget everything you ever knew about gardening elsewhere.

In this class, Florida-Friendly Landscaping Program Coordinator Lilly Browning explains what newcomers (and everyone else) need to know about Central Florida yards and how to avoid common mistakes while enjoying a low-maintenance, budget-friendly landscape.

Call (352) 754-4705 or visit http://HernandoWAS2019.eventbrite.com to register for this free class.
