UF/IFAS Pasco Extension to Host Disaster Assistance Session Oct. 12

Town Hall will help farmers/ranchers with Hurricane Irma disaster assistance

The UF/IFAS Pasco County Cooperative Extension Service is hosting an informational session on Thursday, October 12, 2017 with officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Small Business Administration (SBA), the  Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Senator Bill Nelson’s office.

This town hall-style meeting will offer individual sessions and a question and answer segment for farmers and producers to get information about Hurricane Irma disaster aid and claims.

“This is an excellent opportunity for farmers and ranchers to get the assistance they need in getting their operations running again,” said Dr. Whitney Elmore, Pasco County Extension Director.

A Spanish translator will be available and refreshments will be served.
