Hernando County Board of County Commissioners is accepting applications from individuals wishing to serve as a member on the County committees listed below. These positions are currently vacant.

Vacancies on Various Hernando County Committees

Affordable Housing Advisory Committee

• One citizen who is actively engaged in the residential home building industry in connection with affordable housing
• One citizen who is actively engaged as an advocate for low-income persons in connection with affordable housing
• One citizen who represents employers within jurisdiction
• One citizen who represents essential services, as defined in the local housing assistance plan (teachers and educators, other school district, community college and university employees, police and fire personnel, health care personnel, skilled building trades personnel and others who are employed and earn less than 120% of the area’s median income)

Board of Construction and Regulation

• One engineer position (can be an architect)
• One consumer position
• One roofing contractor

Fine Arts Council

• Five member positions

Library Advisory Committee

• One alternate member position

 Applications are available at the County Administrator’s Office, located at 20 North Main Street, Room 263, Brooksville, FL 34601, by calling (352) 754-4002 or by visiting www.HernandoCounty.us/Committees. Applications must be returned to the County Administrator’s Office no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019.

 All applicants must be residents and registered voters in Hernando County. Additionally, these are voluntary, non-paid positions and may be designated as an alternate member position.
