Veteran Services office reopens to the public by appointment only on June 1

Hernando County Veteran Services will reopen its office, located at 621 W. Jefferson Street in Brooksville, to the public on June 1, 2020, by appointment only. In order to prevent the spread of disease and keep our residents and staff safe during this time, the following policies will be implemented for the Veterans Services Office (VSO) until further notice:

  • For all in-person appointments, only the claimant will be allowed into the VSO unless an escort is required
  • The use of facial coverings is recommended when visiting the VSO
  • Individuals who appear ill will not be seen for their in-person appointment and will be instructed to phone-in at their scheduled time instead
  • Walk-ins will not be seen for any reason.
  • It is encouraged that all documents be mailed, emailed or faxed to the VSO
  • The VSO appointment schedule has been reformatted to accommodate for the continued use of phone-in appointments, mailed correspondence and in-person appointments
