VISIT FLORIDA’s President and CEO, Ken Lawson, will be the keynote speaker for the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce Luncheon on Friday, May 12.
The event will be held at Black Diamond Ranch, 3125 W Black Diamond Cir, Lecanto, FL 34461. The luncheon will begin at 11:30am. Adam Thomas, Director of the Citrus County Visitors Bureau, will also be in attendance for this important event. Tourism has a huge economic impact on both Florida and Citrus County. Your participation in this event will not only be informative, it will also help to shape the future of Florida tourism.
Lawson assumed his position with VISIT FLORIDA on January 11, when the agency was facing uncertainty in the State Legislature over funding. However, Lawson’s outlook is confident. Mr. Lawson will be speaking about legislative issues that affect Florida tourism, his vision for VISIT FLORIDA, and how it can directly affect local communities. The cost to attend for Chamber members is $18 in advance or $20 at the door. All tickets are $22 for non-members. A meal is included in the price of admission. Seats are not guaranteed, so it is recommended that you register in advance. To RSVP for this event, call Janet Mayo with the Chamber of Commerce at (352) 795-3149.
