Citrus County Support Services would like to thank WaWa for their generous donation of 31 gift cards to the Meals on Wheels program.

WaWa Donates Gas Cards to Citrus County Meals on Wheels

The cards (a $1,550 value) were donated by WaWa in honor of the company’s 58th anniversary. This donation is meant to provide hunger and fuel relief to community partners, and to thank, recognize, and reward program volunteers.

This windfall will greatly benefit the program. The Meals on Wheels program depends on volunteer drivers, who have been hit hard by prices at the pump. Since the division has more volunteers than gift cards, staff will be determining the winners through drawings at each community center.
