Weeki Wachee Mermaid Shows cancelled November 26, 2018 to March 15, 2019
Weeki Wachee Springs State Park is continuing its renovation process this fall. Phase one occurred back in July, with safety upgrades for the underwater performers. This required us to cancel the mermaid shows for two weeks.
Phase two renovations will be more expansive. It will include replacing the bridge as you enter the park, as well as sidewalk repairs, and continued renovation of the underwater theater. Several areas of the park will be closed-off to the general public for safety concerns.
Due to the renovation and construction of the other high-trafficked areas which will occur in early October, the park has decided NOT to hold the annual “Wild-n’-Wicked Nights” Halloween event, as well as the “Winter Waterland” holiday event. This decision was a very difficult one for us. However, knowing how well these events are attended, and the amount of area under construction, safety ultimately prevailed in the decision. Please keep following us for any potential disruption to our daily operation during this time.
We are very excited about these upcoming renovations, which will provide a safer and more aesthetic experience for park guests.
