Wildlife Puppeteers offer new play September 8 at Homosassa Springs

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on August 23, 2018

The Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park will be hosting monthly showings of the Wildlife Puppeteers’ new play “Build A Better Brain” beginning in September. In the play, animal puppets such as Lu the Hippo, Beary, Valentine the fox, Yuma and Sakata the panthers, and other animals tell about the enrichment program at the State Park. Designing and providing the animals with stimulating challenges helps to keep their minds sharp and helps the animals, volunteers, and staff to learn about and appreciate each other even more.

You will learn what enrichment is, hear from a world-famous brain researcher, and enjoy hearing and participating in the songs in the play. Whether you are very young or a little older, there is something for you. We will be performing the play on September 8, October 13, and November 10, 2018, at 1:00 PM, in the Florida Room at the Visitor Center located on US19. There is no charge to attend this event. For more information, please contact Kate Spratt at 352-628-5445.
