Wildlife Ranger camp graduates 24 Junior Rangers
Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park and the Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park held a graduation for twenty-four 11 and 12 year-olds who took part in July’s Wildlife Ranger Camp.
This group of young people learned about Florida’s wildlife, enjoying hands-on activities and learning experiences.
Camp topics included mammals, birds, reptiles, manatees, the ocean, sea turtles, and saving energy through alternative sources. Indoor and outdoor activities included nature hunts, visiting the wildlife areas in the park and other scientific activities.
The campers graduated as Junior Rangers.
