Workshop offers Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ tips

The Hernando County Utilities Department invites residents to the “Grow Smart – Successful, Sustainable Yards” workshop scheduled for February 28, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Hernando County Utilities 15365 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville FL 34613. This workshop will focus on landscaping principles that help protect the environment. Door prizes, goody bags and breakfast refreshments will be provided.

Presentations include:

  • Irrigation 101
  • The Three Pillars of a Sustainable Yard
  • Bringing Florida-Friendly Landscaping to Your Community
  • Trash Talk – Recycling, Composting and The New Cans
