By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on April 17, 2019

The New Port Richey Rotary Club hosted the annual  Chasco Fiesta Boat Parade on Saturday, April 6.  The parade began at Hooters on Miller’s Bayou in Port Richey and made its way south on the Cotee River arriving at Sims Park around 1:45 p.m. Boat entries included businesses, schools, nonprofits, organizations, individuals or families. This year’s these was “Anchors Away!”

The Grand Prize winner was actually three boats: the main boat as the yellow submarine, a kayak as a airplane, and a third boat full of Beatlemania fans.

Co-chairing the Boat Parade were New Port Richey Rotarians Amy Finoti-Marin and  Blaise Simon.

It’s a fun event and a time-honored tradition of the Chasco Fiesta presented by hosted by the Rotary Club of New Port Richey. It is also the oldest annual boat parade in Florida. Ten cash prizes ranging from $200 to $1,000 will be presented to winners at a Rotary awards luncheon at the Spartan Manor on April 24.
