Zephyrhills Chamber Awards 6 Scholarships

The Greater Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce gave $3,000 in scholarships to six Zephyrhills High
School Seniors at the Zephyrhills High School Night of Excellence Academic Awards Ceremony held on May 17th , 2022.

Recipients of the Chamber scholarships are selected based on community service, presentation,
character, and academic achievement.
The following students were each awarded $500 for the chamber Academic and Vocational
Scholarships: Erin Caffarelli; who plans to attend Pasco Hernando State College and major in Automotive
Engineering/Technology. Emily Kirk; will be attending Saint Leo University where she will major in Sport
Business and Marketing. Emile Limoges; plans on attending Black Hawk East College and major in
Agriculture/Agriculture Science. Natalie O’Donovan will attend Saint Leo University where she will major in Elementary Education. Diya Patel; has not yet decided on which college she will attend for Pre-med. Madison Poe; she will attend the University of Florida and focus on a degree in Biology.

“These scholarships are made possible through the Pigz in Z’Hills BBQ & Blues Festival held each
year along with other fundraising done by the chamber,” said Melonie Monson, President & CEO of the
Greater Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce. “We love to recognize the hard work of wonderful students who have diligently served in our community and stand strong in the face of adversity,” said, Monson. “We were excited to receive 23 applications and enjoyed learning about each and every one of them. The committee worked hard to choose the scholars who stood above the rest in both heart and courage. We are thrilled to be a small part in the advancement in these student’s futures and wish them well”.

The Greater Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce supports a number of local youth citizenship, leadership, and educational programs throughout the year and has established the East Pasco Chamber Foundation as the educational “arm” for the chamber. The East Pasco Chamber Foundation (EPCF), a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, will provide direct support toward the foundation’s mission to provide quality workforce and education programs which will engage our region’s youth professionals to develop its next generation of leaders.
